According to a report from 2021, 1 in 5 Americans haven’t seen a doctor in 5 years and one third of them cite high cost or poor insurance as the reason. Families Together recognizes the importance of having a doctor that patients can trust to go to for regular check ups and for any problems that may arise. The organization has excellent primary care physicians who will take care of your medical needs as well as refer patients to a wide variety of healthcare services to aid them in attending to their health. The organization strives to bring high quality healthcare to vulnerable communities, including those who are low-income or uninsured and aims to expand that reach as far as it can go. With three locations across Orange County, the Families Together team works diligently to provide health and wellness services to those in need.
Our newest location in Fountain Valley opened in June of 2022. The clinic provides an array of medical services to underserved patients in the Fountain Valley area. The following is a list of some of the services patients can expect when visiting our Fountain Valley location!
Adult Primary Care
At Families Together, the physicians at all 3 of our locations, including Fountain Valley, are trusted advocates for your health and here to serve people of all ages, backgrounds and income levels. They provide services such as check ups, in-office medical treatment, consultations, laboratory testing, and anything else patients need to stay healthy.
Travel medicine is a specialty that focuses on preventative care before traveling. The Fountain Valley location offers this service to any patients looking to get their health situation sorted before traveling. Booking an appointment with Families Together before your next big trip can help you plan and prepare your travel-related health and wellness needs! Families Together’s experts can assist you with managing medication, addressing specific health concerns and managing travel-related health issues like travel anxiety, motion and altitude sickness and more.
The Families Together Fountain Valley location also offers a low-cost and comprehensive medical immigration exam for those looking to get their Visa or Green Card. The organization boasts fully certified providers who can help walk patients through the whole process in order to ensure the exam is completed as swiftly as possible. Patients will need to be up to date on their vaccinations, but Families Together can provide the necessary vaccines as well.
Infectious Diseases Care and Treatment
Families Together’s Fountain Valley specializes in treatment for infectious diseases. Sometimes symptoms for these diseases are clear and other times they’re more complicated, which is why consultations are essential to understanding and treating a patient’s unique situation. Patients can get consultations and treatment for HIV, wound care, pneumonia, travel-related diseases and more.
Behavioral Health Services
Mental health is an important part of one’s overall health. This is why our Fountain Valley location offers behavioral health services for patients who need individual, group or family counseling. Currently, accessing Families Together’s behavioral health services requires joining a waitlist, which potential patients can do by visiting the Families Together website.
