Families Together and Community Come Together to Pack 20,000 Toys for Kids This Christmas

TUSTIN, Calif., December 1, 2021 – In preparation for the largest Christmas toy giveaway in Orange County, nonprofit community health center Families Together of Orange County has enlisted the power of the community to wrap the 20,000 toys that will be given away at Christmas Together 2021.

Each year, Families Together gives back to the community with its annual toy giveaway event, Christmas Together. In 2020, the organization gave away 6,000 toys via a modified drive-thru event, but this year will be its biggest event yet with 20,000 toys set to be given away at the 17th Annual Christmas Together event at the Honda Center in Anaheim.

To help prepare the toys for the event, members of the community, politicians and various organizations will become Santa’s elves and help pack the toys in the weeks leading up to Christmas Together.

For CEO of Families Together, Alexander Rossel, this year’s Christmas Together event is extra special:

“Throughout the pandemic, the community has supported us in so many ways. And now, it’s our turn to give back. Especially with so many families who have suffered throughout the last year, we want to give them a day of fun and help them forget about any worries they might have. The goal is for them to just enjoy themselves on this very special day.”

Christmas Together is an all-day event where families can enjoy food, entertainment, games and more all made completely free of charge to attendees by Families Together and community partners.

Covid-19 safety protocols have been put into place to keep all parties who are attending or volunteering at the event safe.
