Medication Assisted Treatment

Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is the use of medications, in combination with counseling and behavioral therapies, to provide a customized patient approach to the treatment of substance use disorders. Medications used in MAT are approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and MAT programs at Families Together are clinically driven and tailored to meet every patient’s specific needs.

MAT programs include:

  • Assistance with detox from substance use disorder and opioid use disorder
  • Weekly check-ins with the case manager and doctor
  • Referrals to behavioral health services as needed
  • Resources to assist with any other need
