FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
TUSTIN, Calif. — August 11, 2026 — Families Together of Orange County (FTOC) is proud to announce that it has earned six Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Community Health Quality Recognition (CHQR) badges for 2026 – the most the organization has received in a single year to date. The achievement reflects the collective work of teams across FTOC to continually strengthen the quality, accessibility and value of care provided to patients throughout Orange County.
The recognition comes at a fitting time, just after National Health Center Week, which this year celebrated the theme “Building Innovative Care Where It Matters Most.” FTOC’s 2026 quality recognitions demonstrate what that commitment looks like in practice – from improving outcomes in diabetes, heart health and behavioral health to expanding access, leveraging technology and delivering high-value care.
For 2026, FTOC received the following recognitions:
- National Quality Leader – Diabetes Health
- National Quality Leader – Behavioral Health
- National Quality Leader – Heart Health
- Improving Health Care Access
- Advancing Health Information Technology (HIT) for Quality
- High-Value Care
“This recognition belongs to our entire team,” said Alexander Rossel, CEO of Families Together of Orange County. “Delivering high-quality care takes every person across our organization working together toward the same goal. Whether someone is providing care directly to our patients or supporting the systems, technology and operations that make that care possible, everyone plays a role. To receive more quality recognitions than ever before is an incredible accomplishment and a reflection of how seriously our team takes the responsibility of caring for our community.”
The Community Health Quality Recognition badges recognize Health Center Program awardees and Look-Alikes that have made notable achievements in areas including access, quality, health outcomes, health information technology and value. This year’s recognition highlights FTOC’s continued efforts to not only expand access to care, but to ensure that growth is accompanied by a continued focus on quality and positive patient outcomes.
For FTOC, that work extends across the organization. From strengthening clinical quality and chronic disease management to integrating behavioral health, improving the use of technology and finding new ways to make care more accessible, teams throughout FTOC continue to evaluate how the organization can better serve its patients and community.
“As we celebrated National Health Center Week and reflected on what it means to build innovative care where it matters most, these recognitions serve as a reminder that innovation ultimately has to translate into better care for our patients,” said Rossel. “We are proud of how far we have come, but we are always looking ahead at how we can continue improving the care and experience we provide.”
The record six recognitions mark another milestone in FTOC’s continued pursuit of its vision to become an oasis in the healthcare industry — creating a healthcare experience where patients feel supported and have access to comprehensive, compassionate and high-quality care.
